Naomi Galloway, 97, of Akron, passed away on March 10, 2020. Naomi was born to parents, Lodi and Maude Bookout, on March 10, 1923 in Upland, IN.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Eldon; her parents; in-law parents, Ted and Mary Galloway; sisters, Dorothy (Ed) Meisser, Marcella (Art) Robinson, Charlotte (Bob) Campbell and Taylor Galloway, her great-granddaughter.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Ed (Donna) Galloway, and Linda (Dan) Sear; grandchildren, Leigh (Walt) Bish, Ed (Angela) Galloway, Matt (Wendy) Sear, and Andrew (Krista) Sear; great-grandchildren, Sam, Hannah, Joe, Alissa, Holly, Lily, Tatum and Weston; and one great-great granddaughter, Sofia.
Naomi was a graduate of Garfield High School, class of 1941. Naomi worked for child services in Summit County for 11 years before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her club friends, visiting each other and going out to eat to name a few things. Naomi was a faithful, lifetime member of Tallmadge First Church of God. She loved her family, and was really close to her grandchildren and would always attend their sporting events.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 13, at Tallmadge First Church of God, 464 Northeast Ave., Tallmadge OH at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior.
