Nathan Bryan Trachsel, 74, of Akron, passed away February 3, 2013. He was born in Akron on March 8, 1938 to the late Bryan and Kate Trachsel. Nathan was employed at General Tire from 1961-1987 where he served as president of Local #9. He devoted his entire career to organized labor. Upon retirement, Nathan relocated for a time to Islamorada in the Florida Keys. He returned to Akron in 1996 and enjoyed spending time fishing, drinking Budweiser, and being with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Diana and Elsie. He will be deeply missed by his former wife of twenty years, Lois; children, Bryan (Eileen), Tammy, David, and Natalie; grandchildren, Jacob, Aiden, Todd, Tarry, and Nathan; great-grandchildren, Madison, Jayden, Alexsis, and Natalie.
Per Nathan's wishes, his cremated remains will be scattered in the ocean off the Florida Keys.
