Neal P. "Skip" Jensen
Neal P. "Skip" Jensen, 81, passed away on December 21, 2006. Skip was born December 26, 1924 in Jamestown, NY to the late Roy C. and Marie Jensen. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He taught electronics to high school students for 22 years. He was a Methodist for his entire life and and was a very involved member of Sawyerwood United Methodist Church. Skip was very involved in leading edge electronics for his entire life. He was an innovator in the field and will be remembered for all the inventions he implemented in his home. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling. When his children were young, he built a trailer and took the whole family on cross country trips. In later years, he and his wife enjoyed taking cruises and vacationing in Europe. Skip was a wonderful husband and father and will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roy D. Jensen. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marcia; children, James C. (Eleanor) Jensen and Margaret Ann (Brent) Andersen; sister, Mary (David) Noble; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 10-12 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH.
