Ned Lane

Life begins so it ends - what counts - is what was done in between.

Ned Lane was born December 16, 1956 to the late Mr. Eddie "Ed" Lane and Elizabeth "Lit" Lane.
He departed this life on October 14, 2022 at Grace House Akron.
Ned joined the Macedonia Baptist Church of Fort Deposit, Alabama at an early age.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Eddie Lane Jr. and Lil Bubby Lane and one sister, Callie Mae Bell. He leaves to cherish his loving memories five sisters, Mary Hicks of Montgomery, Alabama, Annie Porterfield of Akron, Ohio, Joyce (Ephriam) Marsh, Mattie Lane Campbell and Mildred Seawright, all of Fort Deposit, Alabama; one aunt, Martha Harris of Fort Deposit, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other cherished relatives and friends. He had one devoted god daughter, Nijia Satterwhite and a devoted friend, Mozella Satterwhite.

A Homegoing Service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
