Nelma "Aggie" Gardner

Nelma "Aggie" Gardner, 97, of Munroe Falls, passed away on October 21, 2024. She was born in Chloe, WV on April 10, 1927 to the late Homer and Laura {Bailey} Moss. 

In addition to her parents, Aggie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Robert E. Gardner in 2008, sister June (Noble) Sherrard, brother Al (Viola) Moss and brothers-in-law Ted (Shirley) Gardner and Bob Huff.

Aggie is survived by her loving son Michael (Karon) Gardner; granddaughter Nicole (Joshua) Patterson; great-grandson Silas Patterson; sister-in-law Judy Huff; many nieces and nephews and their families. 

Aggie was a longtime faithful member of Grace Baptist Church, working with the Kitchen Angels team and as a greeter. After raising her family, Aggie went back to school at Akron School of Practical Nursing, to begin her career as an LPN. Her training lent well to caring for her mother for almost 30 years, before her passing in January of 1993. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, traveling to Myrtle Beach with her husband, and spending time with her granddaughter Nicole. 

Family and friends are invited to visit at Grace Baptist Church, 704 N. Firestone Blvd. Akron, OH 44306 on Wednesday October 30th from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service, beginning at 10:30 with Pastor Bob Stephens officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Aggie's memory are suggested to Grace Baptist Church Benevolent Fund, at the address above.
