Nicholas Garlando
Nicholas Garlando, 78, of Akron, passed away February 17, 2009 at Essex Health Care. He was born July 21, 1930 in Akron, Ohio to the late Philip & Susan Garlando. Mr. Garlando was a veteran of the U.S. Army and later was the owner/operator of Garlando & Brothers Produce. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Michael and Judy. He is survived by his wife, Helen; children Sue, Michelle, Philip, Nick, Tom and Christopher; step-children, Connie,Vicki, Edward, David, Danny and Mark; sister, Carolyn; brothers, Philip and Tom; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home on Saturday beginning at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Fleary Spurlock officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until the service begins. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
