Nicole Tackett

Nicole Renee Tackett (Batchelder) 41, of Akron, Ohio passed away in the comfort of her home on February 6, 2016. She was born February 23, 1974 in Portsmouth, VA. She married on July 22, 2001 to Keith Tackett, the love of her life and soulmate. She was the backbone of her family, the rock, the glue that held it all together. She was full of wisdom and advice that she shared with such love. She never had any kids of her own but mothered three boys as if they were her own. The most joyful time of her life was spent with her grandchildren; no matter how hard it was or how she felt, she always found a way to overcome everything to be with them. Her soul had so much fight, but her body did not anymore. She has fought for her life a few times over the last few years as it has been very difficult to watch and endure.

Keith would like to extend a special thanks to her best friend in life, Kristina for caring for her when he couldn't.

She is survived by her husband Keith Tackett; her three sons, Ryan (Kristina), Brandon (Rachel), and Alexander; parents, Kenneth Batchelder and Mary and Richard Perrine; brothers, Leon and Brant; sisters, Tina, and Autumn; grandchildren, Christian, Lucas, Abigail, Andre, and Natasha; nieces and nephews, Jessica, Amanda, Mary, Ashley, Dana, Heather, Heidi, Andy and Preston.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday February 11, 2016 from 11am-2pm with Funeral Service to follow at 2pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Burial will be Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 1pm in Pikeville, Kentucky at The Compton Family Cemetery.
