Norma Jean Calcamp (May), 89, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2021. Norma was born in Ovapa, West Virginia on April 28, 1932 to the late Patrick and Della Summers. She retired from Sears after over 20 years of service. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, feeding the hummingbirds, and spending time with her family. Norma was a devoted Christian and dedicated her time and talents to her church throughout her life.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert May; second husband, Wayne Calcamp; daughter, Pamela May; stepdaughter, Ann Louk; and son-in-law, James Carroll.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Debbie Carroll and Robert (Mary) May; siblings, Charlotte (Roy) Jett and Jim Summers; grandchildren, Kristin (Steven) Churney, Nicole (Andrew) Meissner, James Carroll, and Joseph Carroll; great-grandchildren, Karter Meissner, Ashlynn Meissner, Sutton Meissner, Connor Churney and Emery Churney; stepdaughter, Djuana (John) Cooper; and many other relatives and friends.
Per Norma's wishes, there will be no formal services. She will be laid to rest at Phillips Cemetery in Ovapa, West Virginia at a later date.
