Norma Faye Holmes

Norma "Faye" Holmes, 79, of Hartville, passed away peacefully and was reunited with her beloved husband Emmitt Holmes on April 8, 2018. Faye lived in the Akron area for most of her life, and retired from Summit County Children's Services. She enjoyed cooking with and for her family, who she cherished more than anything. Faye was devoted on having special relationships with her grandchildren. She was the glue who held her family together, and was deeply loved by all of her family and friends.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Hannah Thompson; her husband of over 50 years, Emmitt Holmes; sisters, Ruth Collier and Jean Seenes; and beloved pet, Angel.

Left to cherish Faye's memory are her children, Cindy (Blain Daugherty) Holmes, Kim Wilson, and Chris (Christine) Holmes; grandchildren, Ashley Wilson, Joe Wilson, Tiffany (Erik) Cole, Sarah (Marc Stone) Holmes, Ashley (Eon) Blackburn, and Mandy (Allex Lease) Holmes; great-grandchildren, Alyvia Cole, Bentley Lease, and Conner Holmes; and beloved pets, Sweetpea and Piglet.

Friends and family are welcome to Newcomer 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, 44305 on Sunday April 15, 2018 to from 4pm to 6pm, and again on Monday from 10am to 11am. A funeral service will take place at Newcomer on Monday April 16, 2018 at 11am. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
