Norma Jean Elfrink, 62, of Akron, passed away December 23, 2006 at Akron General Medical Center. She was born June 11, 1944 in Copley, Ohio to the late Herman & Sylvia (Antel) Elfrink. Norma was a member of Bethel Valley United Methodist Church and the Ohio Country Music Association. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Irene Kobyluck and brothers, Pete, Hus, Jack and Bill Elfrink. She is survived by her sisters, Jeanette (Earl) Davis and Sylvia "Toots" Minks; brother, Ike (Betty) Elfrink; sister-in-law, Norma Elfrink; many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 7:00 p.m., Thursday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., with Pastor Don Prather officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the service begins. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Norma's name to Bethel Valley United Methodist Church Memorial Garden Fund, 1720 Knox Blvd., Akron OH 44320.
