Norma J. Large

Norma J. Large, 78, of Akron, passed away August 2, 2018. Norma was born in Lansing, Michigan on February 13, 1940 to the late Robert and Norma Vaillancourt. She worked for attorneys and judges in the Canton area, and also worked as a Red Cross employee at Timkin Mercy Medical Center for 5 years. Norma and her husband Denny moved to Bradenton, Florida to care for her parents and there she was actively involved at Bethel Baptist Church.

She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Denny Large; sons, Craig (Shelley) Betz, Bob (Nickie) Betz, Steve (Chris) Betz; step-children, Denny Dale (Thai) Large, Jr., Charles Kenneth Large and John (Michelle) Large; brother, Wayne (Debbie) Vaillancourt; sisters-in-law, Edith Berry and Penny Jackson; brother-in-law, Skip (Lou) Large; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 28 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron. Family and friends are also welcome to visit from 10 am until time of service at 11 am on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Springfield Baptist Church, 1920 Krumroy Rd., Akron, OH 44312. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund at Springfield Baptist Church.
