Norma Marie Hendershot

Norma “Marie” Hendershot, age 78, of Akron passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024. She was born in Barberton on January 11, 1946, to the late Edgar and Ethel Frock. Marie filled her years with warmth, humor, and a deep love for her family. She enjoyed visiting Amish Country, eating chocolate, drinking Pepsi, reading, and spoiling her pets.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of fifty-five years Lawrence “Larry” Hendershot; daughter Wendy Grable, son Brian (Lisa) Hendershot, daughter Elizabeth “Beth” (Michael) Neal; grandsons Brandon (Cam) Hendershot, Matthew (Madi) Hendershot, Chayce Jeffries, and Harold “Tré” Hubbard. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, one sister, and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from 5-7pm on Thursday, at Newcomer Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024, also at Newcomer Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
