Norma G. (Shelby) Scott

Norma (Shelby) G. Scott born Dec 26,1936 went home to be with the Lord on November 28, 2024.

Shelby was born in Greasy Creek, Kentucky. She was a member of the Old Regular Baptist for over 40 years and a faithful member of True Vine Old Regular Baptist Church in Clinton, OH. Shelby was an incredible example of a strong, Christian mother and grandmother and was immensely loved by all.

She was preceded in death by: her parents Alex and Nellie Prater, Husband of 49 years Paul Scott, son Jeffery, an infant daughter, Sisters Kathryn (Ercel) Robinson, Edith (Corburt) Robinson, Faye Toy, Brother in laws Ed Scott, Ben Scott, Dallas Jarvis, Charles (Joyce) Scott and Sister in law Venita Prater.

Shelby is survived by her loving family: Sons Greg (Leila) Scott of Smithfield, VA, Richie (Kathy) Scott of Brimfield OH, Daughter Lisa (Mike) Hunter of Norton, OH, 7 Grandchildren: Derrick, Kris (Alfredo), Nichole (Daniel), Jeffery (Amanda), Ryan (Katie), Sarah (Jared), Dylan (Brooke) and 10 Great grandchildren: Braylen, Emmett, Calliope, Caden, Sage, Ava, Elias, Hallie, Theodore, Hunter and Levi (Jan 2025). Sister Wilma Jarvis, Brother Bennie Prater, Sister in law Carlene Scott, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Visitation will be held at True Vine Old Regular Baptist Church, 7982 Cleveland Massillon Rd. Clinton, OH, 44216 on Tuesday December 3rd from 6-8 PM. Services will be Wednesday December 4th at 10 AM in the church followed by burial services at Hillside Memorial Park, 1025 Canton Rd. Akron, OH.
