Norma Elizabeth Tenney

Norma E. Tenney, 84, of Norton, passed away March 9, 2005. Norma was born February 12, 1921 in Tallmansville, WV to the late Hazel Maude and Jacob Arthur Bailey. Norma retired from Barberton Schools after many years of service as a cook. She was a longtime member of Akron Baptist Temple and worked in the church nursery. In her free time, Norma enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kiser Tenney; and brothers, Arthur, Ward, and Ralph Bailey. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Ray) Redhead; sons, Vernon (Karen) Tenney, Roger Tenney and Theresa Miller, and Keith (June) Bailey; brothers, Robert (Rita), Tom (Bettie), Earl (Joanne), Bill (Elaine), Carl, and Harry (Katie) Bailey; sister, Lorraine DeBarr; grandchildren, Kevin and Jason Redhead, Elizabeth (Robert) Hutzell, Elaine (Nathan) Miller, David (Julie) Tenney, Christopher Tenney, Laura Tenney, Louise Costello, Karl (Elissa) Bailey; great-grandchildren, Jenna, Drew, Dean, and Trey Hutzell, Fiona Miller, Scott (Krista)Willingham, Jennifer Hoffine, and Ryan Costello; great-great-grandchildren, Morgan and Reagan Willingham; special, lifelong friend, Rose Henke. Family and friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Ernie Kemppel officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
