Norma Jean Werstler, 93, went home with the Lord on April 26, 2022. She was born on March 15, 1929 the daughter of Vern and Anna Briggs. Norma was a believer in Jesus Christ, attended church her entire life, and lived out her faith in her love for others. She was married 43 years to her childhood sweetheart Bobb. She worked many dedicated years as an office manager for a local dental office. She volunteered at DeWitt elementary school and was a member of the PTA. She enjoyed reading, bowling, and growing beautiful flowers in her garden. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching Ohio State football with her son. Norma was well known for baking her delicious banana bread, Christmas cookies, and fudge. She would delight in baking each grandchild their favorite birthday pie or cake. Norma had so many accomplishments, but the greatest was her love for her family. She showed her love in so many ways, through her thoughtfulness, wisdom and steadfastness, and nobody went without being fed and taking food home.
She was preceded in death by her parents and step father Ted Bohner; husband Bobb L. Werstler; brother Clarence Briggs; and sister Mary Helen Lee.
Norma is survived by her loving family, children Jan (Tom) Kuhar, Barb (Patrick) Werstler-Saccogna, and Keith (Maureen) Werstler; grandchildren Ethan Geis (Jenny Ashton, fiancee), Adam Kuhar, Bryce Kuhar, Zach Werstler, Matt Werstler, and Emma Werstler; twin sister Margaret Persinsky; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family would like to extend a special thanks and love to the staff and friends at Sunrise of Cuyahoga Falls and Traditions Hospice Care who cared for and loved our beloved Norma for over 3 years.
