Norma Jean Williams

Norma Jean Williams, 91, passed away on August 28, 2022. She was born on September 17, 1930 the daughter of the late Morris and Velma Snell. She was a woman of faith and was a member of Liberty Bible Church in Atwater. She was well known for her beautiful quilts that she made with love. Norma Jean enjoyed the outdoors especially mowing her grass on her tractor. She also enjoyed Word Search Puzzles. She had many accomplishments but her greatest was her love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas C. Williams; son Larry T. Williams; siblings James, Emmitt "Buddy", and Mary; and son-in-law John Penix.
Norma Jean is survived by her loving family, daughters Carolyn Penix and Paulette (Mike) George; grandchildren John Penix, Gene Penix, Beverly (Carl) Dunlap, Chad (Janene) Cooper, and Ray (Jessica) Vandagriff; 7 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; siblings Walter, Margaret and Debbie; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron).
A Grave Side service will be held at a later date at Willow Mt. Cemetery, TN
