Nute Woods, born November 28, 1925, passed away with his family by his side on January 5, 2011. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during World War II. He was also a lifetime member of the Army/Navy Club of Lakemore. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Mable Woods; grandson, John Thomas Woods; his loving wife of 56 years, Alma Joann Woods; four sisters and one brother. Left to celebrate his life are his sons, Terry and Nute J. Woods; daughter, Nicole Woods Johnson (Aljavaughn); granddaughters, Aliteanna, Cilecia, A'Chantee, and Javaughnie Johnson; also granddaughter, Susan Pistawka and her four children; sisters, Faith Cook and Connie Gray; and a host of other friends and family. Private services will be held for the family. Condolences may be sent to Nicole at 1448 Huguelet St., Akron, OH 44305.
