Ola A. Bolinger
Ola A. Bolinger, 93, of Akron, passed away January 7, 2012. She was born in Caryville, Tennessee on February 18, 1918 to the late William and Bess Carden. Throughout her life she served on the PTA, as a Sunday School teacher, an Awana leader, and a Pioneer Girls leader. Ola and her husband resided in Englewood, Florida for 22 years. A talented musician, Ola was a pianist at churches in both Akron and Florida. She was a current member of Riverside Alliance Church. Ola was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; daughter, Luana; and grandson, Davey. She will be deeply missed by her children, Pat (Hal) Morgan, Karen Scorzino, and Joseph (Stephanie) Bolinger; sister, Anna Henegar of Knoxville, Tenn.; ten grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday January 13 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Visitation will be Saturday from 9-10 followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral service at Riverside Alliance Church, 2433 S. Main St., Akron, with Pastor Nevin Wiest officiating. Private interment for immediate family will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Haven of Rest Ministries in Akron, OH, Hospice of VNS, Pebble Creek Nursing Home, or the charity of one's choice.
