Olga "Lynn" Hardiman (nee – Whiteside), 6o, passed away Friday, March 23, 2012 at Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service and Justin T. Rogers Care Center. She was born in Gadsden, AL to the late Estell Whitside.
She came to Akron in 1952 and she received Christ at an early age. Olga graduated from South High School in 1969, was employed at East Ohio Gas Co. "Numa Corp", retiring from Sterlings Jewelers.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Estell Whiteside; son, Raymond Whiteside; siblings, Annie Lee, David and Gene.
Olga is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Lee Ivory Hardiman; daughters, Belinda, DaNitra Whteside; brother, Sammie Kelly; grandchildren, DaJuan, SaMaria (Karlos), JaNay, DeTroy, MiRayah, Miles; 5 great-grandchildren; special niece, Dean; special sister-in-law, Dot; best friend, Brenda; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, March 31, from 10-12 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will follow at 12 with Pastor William Bridges officiating. Interment at Mount Peace Cemetery, 183 Aqueduct St., Akron, Ohio.
Condolences may be sent to the family at 1177 St. Michaels Ave, Akron, OH 44320.
