Omer Allen Thorpe, Jr.

Omer Allen Thorpe Jr., 76, of Louisville, passed away suddenly on April 4, 2017. He was born in Lick Hollow, PA on June 5, 1940. Omer loved the outdoors and could often be found golfing, hunting, fishing, and playing cards. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow up.
He was preceded in death by his father, Omer Sr.; brother, Barry; and son, Michael. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Gwen; mother, Edna; children, Dennis (Pamela) Stewart, Jill (Steven) Brinkerhoff, and Karen (Darrell) Weaver; sisters, Donna Thorpe, Sharon (Ernest) Woodby, Karen (Edward) Steele, and Tami (David) Gaugler; grandchildren, Kyle, Logan, and Denison Stewart, Alexa Weaver, and McKenzi Brinkerhoff; many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, April 7, 2017 from 10-12 followed by a 12 noon memorial service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
