Opal F. Drop, 89, of Akron went to be safe in the arms of Jesus on June 19, 2005. Opal was a devout Christian and prayed for all the children in her neighborhood and church every Monday at 5:00 p.m. The neighborhood children knew that they could go to her home for popsicles in the summer and cookies in the winter. She will be missed by all who knew her. Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Drop. She is survived by her sons, Samuel "Andy" Drop, George Keros, and John (Karen) Keros; and grandsons, Matthew and Danny. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Family and friends may visit from 5 p.m. until the time of service.
