Opal Y. Booth, 83, of Akron, passed away April 7, 2009. Opal was born September 4, 1925 in Gainsboro, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; son, Michael; and infant daughter, Lisa. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Jerry) Worrell and Patricia Gale (Jim) Wesley; son, Steve (Patricia) Booth; brother, Jack Yates; aunt, Mildred Thompson; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. A memorial service will take place Saturday, April 18th at 11:00 a.m. at New Beginning Fellowship Church, 4567 State Route 43, Brimfield, Ohio. Burial will take place at Hillside Memorial Park at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Altercare in Brimfield for the care given to Mom.
