Ora Mae Dailey, "Ginger', age 94, passed away, peacefully, into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, August 20, 2022. She was born on January 23, 1928 in Barberton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Theodore and Lora (nee Wilson) Hardman.
Ora Mae is survived by her daughter, Babbie Dailey Joyce; her son-in-law, Jim Peterson; her grandchildren, James Peterson, Jessica Peterson and Jeff (Candi) Peterson; her great-grandchildren, Zoe Dellaserra, Isabella Peterson and Vera Peterson.
Ora Mae was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glenn Andrew Dailey; her daughter, Karen Peterson; her son-in-law, Richard Joyce; her grandson, Jon Peterson; and her brother, Theodore Hardman.
She was a graduate of Kenmore High School, a life-long resident of Akron and Barberton. Ora Mae worked as an executive secretary in politics and banking. She generously devoted her life to her family, to her Christian walk and was a powerful prayer warrior.
Over the years she visited all 50 States in the USA and experienced several memorable overseas trips with family and friends. In her youth, she was a talented ice skater, who also enjoyed swimming and tennis. She was an artist who specialized in watercolors.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the Calvary Apostolic Church of Akron, 2693 Nesbitt Avenue, off Manchester Rd, Akron OH 44319.
All services were entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron.
