Oretta Miller

Oretta "Mae" Miller (nee Bohrer), 84, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013 at her home in Lakemore, Ohio. She was born on February 2, 1929 in Akron, Ohio to the late Joseph W. and Nettie Pearl Bohrer. Mae graduated from Springfield High School and was dedicated to caring for her entire family as a homemaker. Her hobbies included: knitting, puzzles, feeding hummingbirds and cooking for her family. She also worked outside the home, when needed, and volunteered to help others by delivering Mobile Meals.

Mae is survived and will be greatly missed by her 4 sons; Marty (Debbie) Miller, Marvin (Brenda) Miller, Brian (Amy) Miller and Bruce (Teresa) Miller, 8 grandchildren; Zachary, Adam, Charles, Gladys, Nicolas, Alec, Breanne and Evan, great grandchildren, Maddox and Brandy, sister, Bernadine Musser, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband of 54 years, Paul A. Miller, brothers; Junior Ray and Richard Bohrer, sisters; Evelyn Stewart, Rosella Heaton, Martha Miller and Ida Jean Pearson.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305 with Pastor Jeff Gindelsberger officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:30 am at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
