Orma A. Jarvis
Orma A. Jarvis, 83, of Tallmadge, passed away August 2, 2008. Orma was born April 10, 1925 in Elizabeth, West Virginia. She was a longtime member of the DAV and the American Legion. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Orma was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Jarvis; mother, Emma Lamp; and stepfather, Harle Lamp. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Pritt of Cuyahoga Falls and Doris Forsyth of Tallmadge; sons, Charles E. Jarvis of Kent, Jennings (Betty) Jarvis of Tallmadge, Fred (Laurie) Jarvis of Cuyahoga Falls, and Frank (Susan) Jarvis of Tallmadge; sister, Hilda Summerville of Akron; brother, Carl Ash of Canal Fulton; grandchildren, Monica, Mindy, Kelley, Lisa, James, Miranda, Andrew, Jessica, Cory, Skye, Jenni, Frankie, Theresa, and Nikki; and six great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
