Oscar Carr, 86, passed away July 27, 2009. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II as a member of the 82nd Airborne. Oscar retired from General Tire and was the property manager of Eastgate Plaza. Preceded in death by his sister, Erma; and brother, Harold. He is survived by his sons, Randy (Carrie), Greg (Chris), Dennis (Cecilia) and Bradley (Irene); grandchildren, Kelly, Brian, Levi, Leah, Grace, Hope, Adam, Nathan, Matthew, Joshua, Anthony and Cassandra; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Isabella, Brandon and Rachel; brother, Raymond; sisters, Evelyn, Helen, Thelma and Lorene; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday, Aug. 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 17, at 12 noon with a visitation one hour prior. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
