Ova Antal

Ova A. Antal, 85, passed away on March 30, 2006. She was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ where she was a volunteer and taught Sunday school. Ova worked at McAllied Tools for 10 years; was a Girlscout leader for 8 years; was legislative chairman for AARP; and volunteered at the giftshop at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital. Preceded in death by her second husband Dan Antal and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include son Don (MaryAnn) Crum, of Holly Pond, Alabama; daughters Darla Earnest, of Akron, and Marcia (Bob) Fidelholtz, of Tallmadge; first husband Don Crum; grandchildren Joey Crum, Trudi (David) Wimberly, Wendi (Kerry) Henderson, Sunshine (Jared) Thompson, Angela Crum, Gary Earnest, II, David (Amy) Earnest, Conni (Mark) Davis, Michael Mueller, Ron Fidelholtz, Susan (Dr. Gary) Laden, and Elizabeth (Brian) Westfall; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers Jack Hopkins and Paul Hopkins; and sisters Anna May Whittaker and Ruth Jacobs. Calling hours will be Sunday, 12 to 3 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral service Monday, 10 a.m. at the funeral home, Pastor Jay Schmidt officiating.
