Pamela Sue Christner, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, friend, passed away peacefully in Akron on February 25, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on March 6, 1954, in Akron, she brought joy and love to everyone around her throughout her life.
Pamela was known for her adventurous spirit and her ability to speak her mind. She didn't just share her thoughts; she meant every word, always guiding those she loved with her heart and honesty. Her passionate nature extended to her deep love for animals, especially her cherished cats and dogs, who brought her endless joy and companionship. Pamela was also an avid collector of penguins, each piece collected with care and a story behind it.
Her proudest accomplishments were the unwavering love she dedicated to her husband, Glenn, with whom she shared 44 beautiful years of marriage, and their son, Edward. Family was at the heart of everything Pamela did. She is survived by not only Glenn, but also her dear sister Beverly Machamer, her brother Greg (Lucy) Aschelman, and her affectionate siblings-in-law: Butch (Sherry) Christner, Margie Simmons, William Christner, and Wendy (Jerry) Hatcher. Pamela adored her nieces and nephews, imparting wisdom and love to them all.
Though Pamela now joins her dearly departed family members—her parents, Elizabeth and Henry Aschelman, her sister Kathy Igleheart, and her son Edward—her spirit remains forever alive in the hearts of the many good friends and relatives she leaves behind.
Pamela Sue Christner’s love was profound. She will be deeply missed, yet fond memories of her will continue to bring warmth and illumination to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
