Pamela Sue Greer (Starkey), 57, of Alliance, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 18, 2023. She was born in Akron, Ohio on November 8, 1965 to the late Homer and Faye Starkey.
Pam graduated from Ellet High School in 1984, where she met the love of her life, Rob Greer. They married on June 7, 1986 and raised their family of three daughters in the Akron and Alliance area. Pam retired from Charter One/Citizens Bank after 24 years of service. She was a longtime member of Southeast Church of the Nazarene.
Pam enjoyed having fun with her children. She was a mom to countless friends of her daughters. She loved taking her twins and their friends to teen nights at church, cosmic bowling, TP-ing, and many other places. She was very involved with Marlington Marching Dukes, acting as a Treasurer, helping with concession stands, and preparing for competitions. She really enjoyed being at the racetrack, whether she was helping at the track, watching her husband flag, or supporting her son-in-law Ryan's racing. She loved playing cards and preparing holiday meals with her family as well as puzzles, board games, the Smurfs, and Sudoku puzzles.
In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Sayre, Harley Starkey, Gary Starkey, Roger Starkey, and James Starkey; sister, Debbie Starkey; parents-in-law, George and Deloris Greer.
Pam will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 38 years, Rob Greer; daughters, Alicia (Ryan) Fredericks, Amber (Jeremy) Renner, and Madisyn Greer; grandchildren, Isaac, Trinity, Cameron, Carly, RJ, and Maci; siblings, Timothy Sayre, Patricia (Randy) Moore, Daniel (Lisa) Sayre, Catherine Sayre, Carol Young, Larry (Bonnie) Starkey, Danny (Alma) Starkey, and Barbara (Paul) Smith; many, many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. She also leaves many close friends, including Denise, Sarah, and Laura.
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with visitation for one hour prior, Pastor Steve Salyers officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
