Pamela "Pam" May, a beautiful daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully on September 20, 2019 after a brief illness. Her family and friends will miss her dearly and they know she will walk beside them everyday sending her blessings. Pam had an undying love for family and friends. She enjoyed spending time working on crafts and crocheting, traveling to the beach and watching the dolphins play. Pam touched so many lives with her gentle kindness, unbelievable strength, never ending generosity, infectious laughter and her gorgeous smile. Her footprints here on earth left a permanent mark which will live on forever. Pam was a member the Springfield Assembly of God church and worked for many years with various health care organizations, finishing her career at Akron General.
Pam is preceded in death by her father, Robert L. May Sr.; step-father, Wayne Calcamp; step-sister, Anne Louk; and grandparents, Pat and Della Summers. She is survived by her mother, Norma Calcamp; siblings, Deborah (Jim) Carroll, Robert (Mary) May Jr.; nephews, Jamie and Joseph Carroll; nieces, Kristin (Steven) Churney, Nicole (Andrew) Meissner; great-niece, Karter Mae Meissner; great-nephew, Connor Robert Churney; step-brothers, Wayne Calcamp Jr., Michael Calcamp; and step-sister, Djuana (John) Cooper.
A celebration of life will be held at 6pm on Thursday, September 26 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron with visitation from 5-6pm. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place.
