Pastor H Fleming

Pastor Robert H. Fleming, 74, of Tallmadge went home to be with the Lord on August 21, 2021. Bob was born in Independence, Missouri on June 22, 1947 to the late Robert and Gloria Fleming. Bob grew up in his father's church and received Christ as his Savior at a young age. He graduated from Bob Jones University and founded Emmanuel Baptist Church in Tallmadge, where he pastored for 33 years.
Bob had a wonderful sense of humor and could always be counted on to raise someone's spirits with a joke or a smile. He was a military history buff and a true cat lover. He will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Fleming and sister, Valeria Daly.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Darlyn; son, Kirk (Yvette) Fleming; brothers, Edward (Donna) Fleming and Philip (Susie) Fleming; grandchildren, A.J. (Alexis) Rutledge, Alexandra (Kyle) McLean, Abigail (Tim) Miles, and Allyson Fleming; one great-grandchild on the way; and many other relatives and an extended church family.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 12 noon with visitation for one hour prior at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 651 Newton St., Tallmadge, Pastor Matthias Knopp officiating. Interment at Tallmadge Cemetery.
