Patricia Ann Albanese
Patricia Ann Albanese (nee Bean), 75, passed away November 2, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 8, 1935 in Akron, Ohio, and attended Ellet and St. Vincent/St. Mary's High Schools. Patricia was a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts, and taught CCD for 10 years at St. Peter's of the Field Church. She was President of the Altar Rosary Society at St. Peter's of the Field Church, and volunteered at the Children's Service Board for over 10 years. Patricia was a member of the Tallmadge Primetimers Senior Club, Ladies Guild of St. Matthew's, supporter of Birthright, Right to Life, Salvation Army and the Haven of Rest Ministries. She was preceded in death by her parents, William E. and Rosemond Bean; and loving husband of 40 years, Charles Albanese. Patricia is survived by her brother, Jerry (Dolores) Bean of Elk Grove, CA.; sons, Andrew Albanese of Sunnyvale, CA, Daniel Albanese of Stow, William (Virginia) Albanese of Bath and Timothy (Leasa) Albanese of Hartville; grandchildren, Kyle, Deanna, Carly, Peter, Alexandra, Danielle Albanese, Becky and Michael Abernathy; and many other loving family members and special friends. The family would like to thank the heart donor family that kept Mom alive for the last 11 years. Calling hours will be held Friday, November 5, from 4 to 8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A funeral mass will take place Saturday, November 6, at St. Matthew's Church at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army of Akron.
