Patricia A. Fox

Patricia "Pat" A. Fox, 87, was gently lifted up by her Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 1, 2023, as she slept warm and comfortably in her bed, to dwell in the paradise of Heaven, blissfully joining her loved ones that went there before her. She was at home, where she raised her 8 children, and was under the vigilant, loving care of her son, Michael. Pat was a beautiful, strong, admirable and fun-loving woman of Croatian ancestry, who bravely, tenaciously fought a long, hard battle in her last years with various debilitating diabetes-related and age-related illnesses, conditions and immobility issues.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Pat married, moved to Akron-North Hill with her husband, and became a passionate homemaker and mother, devoting every fiber of her being to lovingly, loyally and protectively raising her 8 children. She was an outstanding cook and baker, loved her family beyond measure, spoke often of how she treasured swimming in Nageek Lake, Combermere, Ontario Canada as a girl, loved football (particularly attending the WVU, NYGiants & Carolina Panthers games of her son, Michael's). She decorated spectacularly for New Year's Day, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, always giving special gifts and presents to family & friends on each of those holidays. She loved playing the card game "War", relished shopping at KMart, delighted in bright, cheerful colors, treasured gathering with her family, cooking for her family and eating out with her family. She had a great sense of humor, was quick to help those in need, and was also well known for encouraging others to keep their faith and try to make the best of things even in the worst of circumstances.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas & Catherine Malovic; husband, Richard Fox; brothers, Eddie Malovic & Stevie Malovic; sister, Carol Donovan; granddaughter, Mary Jo Fox-Peck; and several other dearly loved ones. She is survived by her children, Richard Fox, Frederick (Clara) Fox, Mark (Judith) Fox, Katherine Kreiner, Elizabeth (Dominic) DiLullo, Michael Fox (Melanie Blair), Susan (Richard) Cervelli, Patricia (Farris) Owen; grandchildren, Rachel, Lucas, Jennifer, Tommaso, Jacob, Olivia, Arianna, Keely & Jayden; sister, Eleanor Popovich; devoted home healthcare aides, Julia & Donna; and many other relatives and friends.

Family and friends may call on Monday, July 10, from 10am to 11am, at ST MARTHA / BLESSED TRINITY PARISH, 300 E. Tallmadge Rd., Akron 44310. Funeral Mass at 11am. Rite of Committal Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron. Food Reception to follow back at St Martha / Blessed Trinity.
