Patricia H. Hammonds

Patricia Hammonds, born August 11, 1940 went home to be with the Lord on January 4, 2020. Patricia loved her family and friends and she loved making her famous lemon pound cakes and bread pudding.

She is preceded in death by her late parents Robert and Martina Lee; brother Richard Lee Gammons; sister Barbara McCord; uncle Bill Lee; nephew Martin Woods; granddaughter Ivory Freeman; great-grandson Demond Wilson, Jr., Lemuel Freeman, special friend Bobby Gibson, Pailee Jones and goddaughter Inuka McWain.

Left to cherish her memory are her brothers; Eddie Lee, Ernest Lee and Michael Lee; sisters Marilyn Gammons and Angie Lee; children Karl Adams, Deborah (Morris), LeRoy Hammonds; Barbara (Zeke) Richardson; her grandchildren LaTrina (Jeffery), Damenia (Nikki), Patricia "Kei Kei" (Charles), Scott (Shanee), Dametrius, Nikki (Demond), Chacory LeRoy and Malena; special cousin Aria Campbell and special son Allen Green; 35 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.

Visitation for Patricia will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron OH from 11am-1pm with a service and eulogy officiated by Pastor Stacy Jenkins at 1pm. A special reading will take place by her grandson, LeRoy Bolar, and the obituary will be read by Robert Campbell. A repast will be held at the Ed Davis Community Center. Condolences may be sent to the family home on Seward Ave., or to the funeral home.
