Patricia J. Irvin, 77, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2020. Pat was born on June 30, 1942 in Huntington, West Virginia. Her career included: Aerosol Systems in Twinsburg, Ohio, Akron Public Schools as a volunteer and active member of the PTA, Ampco System Parking, and Amtrak. Throughout her life, she was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Her proudest moments were spending time with her family and watching them succeed in life. She was a longtime member of Saints Temple Ministry in Akron, Ohio where she served as an usher, deaconess, Sunday school secretary, and choir member. She also attended Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church and New Exodus Christian Fellowship Church in Akron, Ohio, and Grace of God Ministry in Mount Morris, Michigan. Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Pierson; father, Gordon Turley; husband, William M. Irvin Jr.; brothers, Donald Turley, Ronald Pierson; sister, Mary Farrell; and son-in-law, Robert Hatcher. She leaves to mourn her passing, her children, Bonnie Reed (Clyde Thurman), Jerry C. Reed Jr. (Genie), Melissa Hankton (Stanley), and Evangelist Mary Hatcher; sisters, Tericeta Pierson (Charles) and Sheila Morrison (Walter); grandchildren, LaToya, Kevin (Meredith), Eric, Lexie (Kyle), Jordan (Chris), Kelsie, and Andrew (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Jaden, Dawson, Lily, Veronica, Divinity, Arianna, Reed, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Due to current social gathering restrictions, services for Pat will be limited to close family members and friends.
