Patricia J. Oplinger

Patricia J. 'Anna Lee' Oplinger (nee Braneky), 80, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013. She was born on June 13, 1933 in Akron to the late Theodore and Mary (Cusack) Braneky. Patricia retired from Waterloo School System as Dietary Manager and was formerly involved with Liberty Bible Church in Atwater and Eastwood Church of the Brethren in Ellet. She enjoyed spending time with her family, long car rides, walking, playing bingo and cards.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Oplinger, sisters; Betty, Dorothy and Goldie and her brother Ted. She is survived by her children; Deborah (Edward) Benson, Randy Oplinger and Catherine Horning, brother Paul Braneky, 6 grandchildren; Lindsey, Kendel, Michael, Mackenzie, Seth and Daniel, 4 great grandchildren; Madison, Camden, Layton and Olivia, sister-in-law Virginia Braneky, brother-in-law Joseph (Dorothy) Oplinger, sisters-in-law; Betty and Anna Oplinger, many other relatives and friends. Special thanks to all the staff at Sterling House of Alliance for their care.

Friends may call 1-4 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 21, 2013 at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Atwater Cemetery.
