Patricia Powell

Patricia "Tricia" Powell went home to be with the Lord on March 27, 2016. This loving, enthusiastic, and creative girl leaves behind her mother, Kelly Grady, father, Garrison Powell; Grandparents Kevin and Kristine Grady, Sandra (Larry) Latherow, Carl (Marji) Powell; siblings Kevin, Darryl, Winnie, Savannah, and Bernadette, along with extended family and friends too numerous to name.
As a student at Ellet High School, Tricia excelled in academics while being wholeheartedly devoted to her many extra-curricular activities including band, orchestra, drama club, student council, venture crew, tennis and more. Even with her part-time job, she always made time for her family, friends, and anyone else who might need her.
From the moment she was born, she radiated love and energy. A girl with unlimited potential, she had plans to attend Kent State University for Art and Business, hoping to one day open her own coffee shop.
As a true renaissance woman her accomplishments and interests were diverse and many. She lived her life with a rare sort of vibrancy that made her seem like she had been dreamt up in a sort of fairytale. Although she was taken from us too soon, we take comfort knowing that she lived every moment to the fullest. Her smile, which lit up our lives, will continue to shine bright in our memories.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Ellet High School, 309 Woolf Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44312, where family and friends may visit from 1:00 - 3:00 PM and again from 5:00 - 9:00 PM on Friday, April 1, 2016.
