Patricia Louise "Pat" Rankine, age 85 of Akron passed away on Friday, May 29, 2021 at her home, surrounded by family. She was born in Akron on April 30, 1936, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Flossie {Hixson}Gowin.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Gowin.
Pat's memory will live on in the hearts of those that loved her, including her husband of nearly 65 years, "Buzz"; daughters Kim (Ron) Machlan and Karen (Ted) Hohl; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild on the way; many extended family members and friends.
Friends and family are welcome to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron 44305 on Thursday, June 3 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the 12:00 noon service. Interment to follow the service at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron. Donations in Pat's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
