Patsy Lou Haidet, 58, passed away at home on April 16, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was a hardworking woman who dedicated 30 years at Norton Co. before working as a teacher's aide for the Kent City Schools. She was also a member of Green Valley United Methodist Church. Patsy was passionate about family beach vacations, sitting poolside, camping, leading her Girl Scout troop, laughing with friends and family, and spending quality time with her granddaughters. Preceded in death by her father, John C. Hayes, Jr.; aunts, Helen Beinecke, and Eleanor Ramser; and cousin, Rick Beinecke. Patsy is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Kenneth; children, Melissa (Joe) Fouse, and Ryan Haidet; granddaughters, Daisy and Summer Fouse; mother, Rose Hayes; sister, Helen (James) Dietz; brother, Charles (Debra) Hayes; many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins; and life-long friend, Crystal Williams. Calling hours will be held Monday, April 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a service will follow at 8 p.m. with Pastor Michael Shaub officiating.
