Patsy E. Slaughter

Patsy Elaine Slaughter, 73, of Akron, passed away on June 16, 2023. She was born on September 28, 1949 in Birmingham, AL to the late James Justice and Inez Lawley.

In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her sister Jackie Lovelle; brother Wayne Courson.

Patsy is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, George "Jim" Sr.; children Carla (Martin) Heisa, Patricia Solombrino and George Slaughter Jr.; step-children Carol (Rick) Speelman, Jane (Dave) Hicks and Jim (Laural) Slaughter; grandchildren Erika, Nick, Adam, George III and Callen; 12 step-grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several extended family members and friends; dog Bandit.

Patsy worked as an office manager for Slaughter Tire Service. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Martin Rd. in Mogadore.

Visitation will be held All are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Tuesday, June 27th from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 12:30 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Hillside Memorial Park, where Patsy will be laid to rest. There will be a memorial service held at 2180 Martin Rd. Mogadore, OH 44260 beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 1st.
