Paul "Sonny" Chinrock, age 92 passed away on March 3, 2022 with his family by his side.
Paul graduated from South High School. He was employed for 37 years by Kesserling/Reiter Dairy, he worked for Akron Summit County Library for 17 years. He volunteered many places, Akron Civic Theater, Edwin Shaw Hospital, but his favorite was at Challenge Golf.
He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis of 65 years, sister Katherine Evans and grandson Michael Carter.
Survived by brother Steve Chinrock; sister-in-law Jean Clevenger; children Dan (Terri), Dean (Cindi), Donna Wallace, Paula (Alan) Carter; grandchildren Ashley, Ryan, Cody (Brittany), Adam (Alexis), Hannah, Kaitlyn (Brett), Alaina (Troy), and 9 great-grandchildren, also his very special friend Peggy Hodgman.

Well-deserved military honors will be held on Monday, March 14 at 11:15 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, with a brief committal by Chaplain Billy Kremer. THOSE WISHING TO ATTEND, please arrive at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 no later than 10:15 a.m., to join the procession.
