Paul C. Cummons

Paul C. Cummons, 85, passed away May 9, 2023 with loved ones by his side. Born in St. Clair Shores, MI to Warren and Gladys (Nicholas ) Cummons, he resided in the Akron, OH area most of his adult life. Paul was a U. S. Army Veteran and he retired from General Motors after many years of service. He enjoyed his pet dogs and cats, gardening, watching wrestling, working out and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Helen; sisters, Carol Lockard and Luella Tallent. He will be sadly missed by his companion, Mary Carsey and family; step-daughter, Sherry (Tim) James; grandson, Gary Chapman; other family and friends.

Everyone is welcome to visit Friday, May, 19, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park. Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Humane Society of Summit County.
