Paul G. Goodwin, 73, passed away January 22, 2006 following a brief illness. Born in Akron, OH to the late John & Rosa (Westerfield) Goodwin. Retired from Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. after 30 years of service and most recently had been employed by GOJO Industries. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Wanda J. Goodwin of the home; daughter, Jeana L. Takacs of Akron; sons, Dr. Paul (Claudia) Goodwin, Robert, Joe, Bill Goodwin all of Akron; sister, Mary J. Goodwin of Akron; brother, John J. (Betty) Goodwin of Norton; grandchildren, Rob, Mindy, Kelly, John Paul, Kristen, Tiffany & Danielle; great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Tyler, Mackenzie & Natalie. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44305 with Pastor Kirk LaVigne officiating.
