TALLMADGE - Paul Haralson, 60, passed away Aug. 14, 2009 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Akron, he lived most of his life in Tallmadge. Paul was a graduate of Tallmadge High School Class of 1967, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked at Simcox Grinding for 41 years as a machinist. Paul was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. Preceded in death by his mother, Gwendolyn. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Nancy; children, Tammy (Rusty) Haught and Dustin (Trish) Haralson; grandchildren, Rochelle, Ross, Tessa and Ethan; father, Richard Haralson; brother, Gary (Crystal) Haralson; sisters, Pam (Scott) Spencer and Lisa (Terry) Beck; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Monday, Aug. 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 11 a.m. with Fr. John Hengle officiating. Interment will take place at Tallmadge Cemetery. The family would like to thank Simcox Grinding for all of their support, to all of the family and friends for their support for the last 2 years and to the nurses of Hospice of Summa for all of their care and support.
