Paul Hipply, 81, passed away on April 26, 2011 after a long illness. Paul was born in Akron on April 19, 1930 to the late Frank and Elizabeth Hipply. He graduated from Buchtel High School, served in the U.S. Navy, and owned a radiator repair business in Wadsworth for 36 years. In his free time, Paul enjoyed gardening and spending time with family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Hipply; grandson, Anthony Hefling; and great-granddaughter, Lauren Hipply. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Loretta; children, David (Henri-Etta) Hipply, Pamela (Ben) Hefling, and Patti Lewis; brothers, Frank (Wilma) and David (MaryAnn) Hipply; 8 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday from 1-2 followed by a 2:00 p.m. memorial service with Pastor John Hopson officiating at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Akron Zoo, Development Office, 500 Edgewood Ave, Akron, OH 44307 or the Summit County Animal Shelter, 250 Opportunity Pkwy, Akron, OH 44307.
