Paul J. Lisic, 84, passed away March 11, 2007. He was a lifelong resident of Akron and a graduate of East High School. Paul retired from Goodyear Tire in 1979 with 40 years of service. Paul served as a Sergeant in the Army during WWII's Normandy Invasion. He was a charter member of the Airport VFW Post 8975. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Mogadore Moose were he enjoyed throwing horseshoes. He was also an avid bowler in many leagues. He is preceded in death by his parents Mike and Mary Lisic; daughter Bonnie Ames; grandson Dustin Ames; 1 sister and 4 brothers. Paul was a loving husband of 28 years to his wife Billie (nee James); Loving father to daughters Paula (Bill) Troegner, Mary (Bill) Reed; stepson Robert Hodgkiss; and loving grandfather to Christopher Marciano, Robert Baker and Brittney Long as well as many friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday March 14, 2007 at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd, Akron OH 44305. Family and friends may call on Tuesday March 13 from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
