Paul R. Freed passed away on August 2, 2012. At Essex of Tallmadge, at the age of 78. He was retired from Children's Hospital and had been employed at Dano's on the Lake before becoming ill.
Preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Violet; sisters Margie and Veda. He is survived by his wife, Betty; daughter, Donna; brothers Sherley (Alice Faye) and Donnie (Claudia); sisters, Myrtle (Doug), Vonnie (Mack), Oma Jean (Jerry), Linda, Nancy; stepchildren, Gary, Jeanne, Bonnie, Bev, and Becky; and a host of other family members.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, 1 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Inurnment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
