Paul C. Reeder, 78, of Wadsworth, went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2017. Paul was born in Akron, Ohio on May 22, 1938 to the late Talford and Bessie Reeder. Paul was a devoted husband and father; he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Paul was a member of Young's Corners Fellowship Baptist Church and his family there was extremely important to him. He made many deep, lasting relationships throughout the years. Paul retired from the Ruhlin Company with over 30 years of service and was a member of the Operative Plasterers' and Cement Masons Union. He loved his job and had a strong work ethic.
Paul loved a good joke and always read the obituaries "to make sure he wasn't in there." His family will sorely miss his laugh, high spirits and stories.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife Juanita "Dee" Reeder; sisters, Eileen Reeder and Jewel Bennett, and brothers, Talford Jr., James, Lee and John Reeder.
He is survived by his children, Terry Pessefall, Karen Davis, Paul Reeder, Jr. and Jeremy (Christine) Reeder; sisters, Norma Burdett, Joyce Sutterluty, Sonya Reeder and Vivian (Rick) Rager; brothers, William Reeder and Wayne (Linda) Reeder; grandchildren, Jennifer and Catherine Trowbridge, Seth Reeder and Corey Davis; great-grandchild, Braxton Davis.
The family would like to express thanks to Dr. John Kromalic and the staff at Copley Medical Group for their compassionate care.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 10 am with Pastor Tim Wright officiating. He will be laid to rest at Sharon Township Cemetery.
