Paul K. Smith, age 83, of Akron, Ohio, died on January 11, 2021 at Akron City Hospital.
He was born on December 3, 1937 in Springfield Twp., Ohio, the son of the late Paul Newton and Golda Agnes (nee Knotts) Smith.
Paul was an honorably discharged US Army veteran during peacetime.
Mr. Smith liked to build things, travel, and was a huge Browns and Ohio State fan, however, he was a devoted and loving grandfather to his three granddaughters.
Survivors include his only and loving daughter, Margaret "Peggy" (Michael) McGill; his granddaughters, Kimberly, Emily and Natalie Tran. His sister also survives, Joyce Webb.
Other than his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his two sisters, Alice Koch and Faye.
There will not be any calling hours or services and all arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
He will be buried in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
