Paul V. Wilkerson

Paul V. Wilkerson, 87, a long-time Ellet Resident, passed away Friday, May 16, 2008, at Akron City Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Born in Akron, the son of Frederick and Eva Morris Wilkerson, Paul was a teacher and guidance counselor in the Akron Public Schools and a psychologist at various state institutions throughout his career. He attended Crossroads Bible Fellowship, Akron. Paul is survived by his wife Frances; two sons Roger (Carol), of Portland, Oregon, and Lee (Claire), of Akron. His son Howard preceded him in death in 2004. Grandsons are Lewis Wilkerson, of Delta Junction, Alaska, and Glenn Wilkerson, of Akron. Calling hours will be Monday, 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday, 12-1 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
